It seems that one of the best ways to get an upgrade in todays fast paced world is to dress smartly, be part of a frequent flyer program and have perfect manners.

According to a survey conducted by Skyscanner, which asked 700 flight attendants from 85 countries what would make the perfect passenger. The results show, simply that the to get that important upgrade and make your flying journey even more pleasant, you need to be the Perfect Gentleman.

The perfect passenger is Male, between 30-40 and generally traveling alone, that will stand him in good stead with the flight attendants. So what makes it even more likely is that he be well and smartly dressed, nearly 60% said that would help. We are always telling you, dress well at all times as you never know when it might matter most. Therefore, no lurid velvet warm-up suits when traveling, it will not help you get that first class berth.

It is also essential to be part of the Airline’s Frequent Flyer program, so join all the airline you travel on most frequently and be loyal, indeed boast your miles with other factors such as linked credit card or other joined program.

But the Number One reason with over 80% of the saying this was a deciding factor was for them to have exceptional manners and being polite and courteous at all times. It just shows that ‘Nice Guys do finish first’, in this case in First Class.

Whatever you do, one sure way to upset the hard worked Flight Attendant is to click your fingers, but then again no Gentleman would ever consider doing such a thing.
