#1PG on day 14 of Movember

#1PG on day 14 of Movember

We hope you enjoyed last week’s special remembrance articles for the centenary of World War I . We certainly had fun planning and writing them and we are very grateful for Robert Wilton’s contributions to the week.

This week is one of our occasional updates with regard to The Perfect Gentleman activities, the future and PGHQ. But first, a Movember update from me.

As I mentioned in my post a couple of weeks ago, I decided to grow a moustache for Movember. It is slowly coming along. I have attached some photos here to show the progress. It is my first ever facial hair, apart from a couple of days shaving rest, which I do occasionally. It is a very strange experience to have hair on your top lip, for me it is certainly taking a bit of getting used to . It has started to fill out now and has some shape. For a couple of days it was exceptionally itchy and I almost got to the point of shaving it off, but I will preserve. I have now discovered how your moustache gets wet when you drink, you get food in it and you do need to take care of it on a daily basis. I think I am at the point of purchasing some moustache wax.

I am raising money for two causes, firstly the charity I am a Trustee for, Ascape. This charity provides adventure weeks for children with severe asthma, eczema and allergies. Secondly, for the Royal British Legion. Three members of my family served in the armed forces and many of my friends have too. I would appreciate it if you gave generously. My page for donations is here – http://www.gofundme.com/zfbmovascape

As for The Perfect Gentleman as a company, we are making some edits to the education elements of our main company page and we are almost ready to reveal our updated website for the Code of the Gentleman.

We are motoring along with our ‘Becoming’ book series. The first one has been selling steadily, the next on the list, ‘Becoming the Stylish Gentleman’, is with the editor and the third, ‘Becoming the Romantic Gentleman’, is being written. We are just finalising the next two books for 2015 and we will reveal those titles in the first quarter of next year.

We are just finalising the details for our Becoming the Perfect Gentleman Live tour of the USA and Canada, which runs from April to June 2015, but I can exclusively reveal that the cities we will visit are New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta and Toronto. We will be releasing details of the events in the next month.

We are really excited to be bringing our live 2 day event to the USA and launching the whole Perfect Gentleman brand to an American audience. Over the course of the two days we will demonstrate a wet shave on stage, teach you to dance in 2 hours, demonstrate and let you a try Bartitsu (the Gentleman’s martial), run a live date on stage and that’s just for starters. Over an action packed fun filled couple of days you will walk out with the Gentleman’s Advantage in business, romance and life.

For most of last week Sam and I shot a new series of PG videos for our WebTv channel and we will be editing and uploading those over the course of the next few weeks. They cover everything from style and etiquette to business tips and more.

This week we are preparing for our Christmas weeks on the Code and podcasts. We hope you are enjoying all of our content and if you have any suggestions please do contact us.

Respectfully yours,

#1PG
