It has been awhile coming for us and there have been many hiccups along the road but we are finally launching the education element to what we do this week and I am excited, relieved and slightly nervous in one breath.
When the Perfect Gentleman was first mooted the key pillar of what we wanted to do was educate men into being Gentleman. I believed that men had forgotten what it was like to be a Gentleman and certainly were no way being taught what it was to be a Gentleman, so we knew we had to have an education element to what we do.
The whole team throughout the year has been pushing to get the elements launched to educate the men of the world but first we had to build our brand, and we have successfully done that with you our delightful readers, alongside our social media cohort. We are so grateful for you and your support.
So our courses are being launched and we have some really good ones to head out with, our lead course if you like is ‘The Language of Lingerie” which is talked about more in another article. I personally am thrilled to have Rigby & Peller, Harry Bromptons and Floris partnering up with us to bring this about! A year ago we could not have dreamed of such fantastic partners.
But our other courses are now live and they fit within our mantra of bringing you the Gentleman’s Advantage in business, in romance and in Life. We are going to help you build a wardrobe; learn to pick a great suit (no matter what the budget); give you the basics of business etiquette; teaching the skill of being charming (yes, you can be taught it); the delicateness of having the perfect 1st date; teaching you the art of shaving (95% of men are NEVER taught to shave!) and also for our friends from overseas ‘How to be British’
We are starting with this raft but in the New Year we intend to add more and more courses to the roster, in fact turning us into a mini Gentleman’s University, well know thats a thought!
Don’t think that I, and indeed the rest of the PG team are Perfect, we all need lessons and to keep us on our toes and certainly there are some courses that we are teaching and certainly in the future that I amd the team will be active participants. Personally, I can’t wait till the amazing Paul teaches us how to use a Fountain Pen properly but that is for next year.
We know we are London centric today but we are currently talking to people who want to lead our courses and take on the PG brand in the far flung corners of the world. We want to make the world a better place not just the men of London. Men of London, watch out because we are starting with you and the British Gentleman has a great tradition to uphold, let us start exceeding that with some further education!
