We are delighted to introduce our new correspondent from Toronto; Pedro Mendes.
Pedro is a producer and host at CBC Radio. He has recently branched out from producing his regular music programmes and has created a number of blogs and some excellent podcasts on a variety of Gentlemanly style and lifestyle subjects.

He introduces himself in his profile here: I finally grew up with the arrival of my son. Holding him I realized that I was to be his role model. I had to show him how to be a good man. So I re-evaluated my life and created my own personal honour code that I have fought to upload ever since: self-reliance, confidence, compassion, dignity and service to others. And I put it all into action. Believing that if you act like the person you want to be eventually you will become that person, I worked hard to develop the skills of a grown man: how to shave with a single blade; how to take care of my shoes; how to renovate my kitchen; how to shake a person’s hand; how to smoke a cigar; how to dress well, and so on. In clothing I have found a passion. What interests me about menswear is not just the cut of a jacket or how to tie a bow tie, but the history and meaning of clothes. And I want to help other men learn and understand how taking care of the way they look can teach them to take care of themselves and others.
We look forward to more articles from Pedro and hope you will enjoy his opening item on the British Without Prejudice brand which is making waves in Canada, Ireland, Hungary and the USA.
